Soldiers Home

The Milwaukee VA Soldiers Home Historic District on the grounds of the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center is one of Milwaukee’s most important historic assets. As part of an Enhanced Use Lease (EUL) agreement with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, The Alexander Company and Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee preserved and rehabilitated six of the District’s vacant buildings into 101 supportive housing units for veterans and their families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Find out if you or someone you know qualify to live in one of the 101 supportive housing units by visiting milwaukeesoldiershome.com or by calling 1-877-4AID-VET (1-877-424-3838).

Surgeon's Quarters

HACM has partnered with the Milwaukee Veterans Affairs Regional Office and Hope House to offer housing and supportive services to veterans who have experienced homelessness.  This housing is available at the Surgeon’s Quarters SRO on the grounds of the historic VA grounds in Milwaukee.  Learn more about the Surgeon’s Quarters by clicking on the link below.

VASH Program

HACM also collaborates with the Milwaukee VA and Hope House in the Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) Program, which provides homeless or at-risk veterans with stable housing and supportive services. If you are a veteran in need of housing and/or supportive services, please contact the Milwaukee Veterans Affairs office or Hope House to learn about the availability of VASH assistance.

Victory Manor

HACM has a newly developed 60-unit veterans preference apartment building in the Westlawn Gardens neighborhood on Milwaukee's northwest side. Victory Manor has many design features to meet the specific needs and opportunities veterans face. The Center for Veterans Issues (CVI) provides case management services to veterans living at Victory Manor. The presence of CVI also serves as an outpost for veterans throughout Westlawn Gardens and the surrounding neighborhood. All veterans are invited to utilize CVI’s resources to access a wide array of services.
